Who we are

MovaDoc (https://movadoc.com) is provided by Pedro Cirera Dória Roquette de Vasconcelos and Martim Dotti Cardoso Pinto, private individuals based in Lisbon, Portugal. Contact: geral@movadoc.com.

Acceptance

By using MovaDoc, you accept these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

The service

MovaDoc provides free tools to work with PDF files and images directly in your browser, without creating an account. Files are processed on your device and are never sent to servers (see the Privacy policy).

We may change, add or remove tools, or suspend the service, at any time.

Your files

Your files are yours and remain yours: we acquire no rights over them. As processing happens on your device, always keep a copy of the originals and check the result before using it.

Acceptable use

Use MovaDoc only for lawful purposes and on files you have the right to use. In particular, don’t use it to:

• infringe copyright or other third-party rights;
• process illegal content;
• try to disrupt, overload or attack the site, or get around its protections.

The “Unlock PDF” tool is only for your own files or files you are authorized to use. Don’t use it to remove the protection from other people’s files without permission. To open a password-protected PDF, the correct password is always needed: MovaDoc doesn’t guess or crack it. The tool also removes the restrictions set by the author (for example, not allowing printing, copying or editing) from PDFs that open without a password: only do this with your own files or with the permission of whoever holds the rights to them.

Service provided “as is”

MovaDoc is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to make the tools work well, but we don’t guarantee that they will always be available, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for loss of data, profits or opportunities arising from the use of MovaDoc, including the loss of files you did not keep a copy of.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it, in particular for willful misconduct or gross negligence, nor does it affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Third-party software

MovaDoc uses open-source libraries, whose licenses are listed under “Open-source licenses” in the site footer.

Future changes

Today MovaDoc has no ads, no user accounts and no artificial intelligence features. If it ever has any of these, these terms and the Privacy policy will be updated before they arrive.

Any change is published on this page, with the date of the last update.

Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. The courts of Lisbon have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules, including those that allow you to go to the courts where you live.

For consumer disputes, you can also turn to an alternative dispute resolution body for consumer disputes. The list is available on the Portuguese Consumer Portal, at www.consumidor.gov.pt.
