Edit PDF
Add text, highlights, shapes, drawings, images and notes to any PDF, right in your browser. The text already in the file stays as it is: MovaDoc writes on top of it, it doesn’t rewrite it.

How it works
Open the PDF
Drag the file onto the workspace. The first page shows up ready to edit; the others are in the thumbnails.
Add what you need
Start with the “Text” tool and click where you want to type. Then highlight, draw or add an image, and move anything around whenever you like.
Save the edited PDF
Download a new PDF. Your changes are regular annotations: to make them permanent, continue with “Flatten PDF”.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the text that’s already in the PDF?
No. MovaDoc adds things on top of the page, but it doesn’t change the words already there: in a PDF, each word is drawn in a fixed place and the embedded font often contains only the letters used. To remove information for good, use “Redact PDF”.
Do I need to install anything or create an account?
No. It works in the browser on your computer or phone, with nothing to install and no account. Once the page has loaded, it even works offline.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened and edited on your device and is never uploaded, so you can edit contracts, invoices or personal documents without sharing them with anyone.
Can I add a logo or a signature image?
Yes. With the “Image” tool, choose a PNG, JPG or WebP and click the page to place it; pull a corner to resize it without distorting it. To sign, the “Sign PDF” tool also lets you draw or type your signature.
What happens to the annotations after I download?
They’re regular PDF annotations, with their drawing saved in the file: we checked that they look the same in the PDF readers built into Chrome, Edge and Firefox, and Adobe Acrobat Reader and macOS Preview also show this kind of annotation. Whoever receives the PDF can still move or delete them. If you don’t want them changed, continue with “Flatten PDF”.
