Frequently asked questions

What is a WebP image?

It’s an image format created by Google and used by many websites because the files are small. Some older programs can’t open it; in a PDF, the image opens anywhere.

Do the images lose quality in the PDF?

Lossless WebP images and those with transparency are saved as PNG, so nothing is lost. The others (usually photos) are saved as high-quality JPEG.

Is transparency kept?

Yes. Transparent areas stay transparent in the PDF and show the paper color, usually white.

Can I combine several WebP images into one PDF?

Yes. Choose them all at once: each image goes on its own page, in the order you set.

Are my WebP images uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion happens in your browser, and your images never leave your device.
