TIFF to PDF

Convert scans, faxes, and other TIFF images into a PDF. Each TIFF page becomes a PDF page, losslessly (only a TIFF that already uses JPEG is saved as JPEG again, at high quality).

Files are opened on your device and never uploaded.

How it works

  1. Choose your TIFF files

Drag one or more TIFFs into the workspace. You can mix them with JPG, PNG, or WebP.

  2. Choose the page

A4, Letter, or “Same as image”, which uses the scan’s real size. Drag the thumbnails to change the order.

  3. Download the PDF

The PDF is created on your device, with every page of each TIFF, in the right order.

Frequently asked questions

Are my TIFF files uploaded to a server?

No. The TIFF is read and converted in your browser and never leaves your device.

Does a multi-page TIFF become a single PDF?

Yes. Each TIFF page becomes a PDF page, in the same order. With several files, each file’s pages stay together, in the order of the thumbnails.

Do scans lose quality?

No. The images go into the PDF without lossy recompression, so a black-and-white scan (like a fax with CCITT compression) stays sharp and small. Only a TIFF that already uses JPEG compression is saved as JPEG again, at high quality.

Which kinds of TIFF can I convert?

The most common ones: uncompressed, LZW, ZIP (Deflate), PackBits, CCITT G3 and G4 (faxes), and JPEG, in black and white, grayscale, color, palette, or CMYK (converted to screen colors, RGB). If a file uses another compression (such as JPEG 2000), MovaDoc tells you and converts the rest.

What size are the pages?

A4 by default. With “Same as image”, each page gets the scan’s real size, worked out from the resolution stored in the TIFF (for example, 300 dpi). Faxes with rectangular pixels keep the right proportions too.
