Text files (.txt)

Files are opened on your device and never uploaded.

How it works

  1. Choose your text files

Drag one or more .txt files into the workspace, or use the button.

  2. Choose the look

Page size, margins, font size, and line spacing. The preview shows the first page.

  3. Download the PDF

You get one PDF per file, or a single one with all of them. The text can still be selected and searched.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The text is read and converted in your browser and never leaves your device.

Do accented letters show up correctly?

Yes. UTF-8 files (the most common today) are read as they are, and older Windows files (Windows-1252) that aren’t valid UTF-8 are detected and keep their accents too.

What if the text has characters from other languages?

The font covers Latin characters (English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, and other European languages written in the Latin alphabet). Characters from other scripts, such as Greek, Cyrillic, Chinese, Arabic, or emoji, show as “?”, and MovaDoc warns you before converting.

Are long lines cut off?

No. Lines that don’t fit continue on the next line without splitting words (only a word longer than the line, like a very long web address, is split). Blank lines and page breaks in the file are kept; tabs become spaces.

Can I convert several files at once?

Yes. Choose them all: you get one PDF per file (in a ZIP) or, with “Combine into one PDF”, a single PDF where each file starts on a new page.
