Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to any server?
No. The PDF is split in your browser, by code running on your device. The file is never uploaded, and it’s cleared from memory when you close the page.
How do I enter the ranges?
Separate ranges with commas and use a hyphen to mark a range. “1-3, 5, 8-10” creates three PDFs: pages 1 to 3, page 5, and pages 8 to 10. “8-” goes from page 8 to the end.
Do I get one file or several?
If the result is a single PDF, you download that PDF. If there are several, you download a ZIP with all of them. You can also merge all the ranges into a single PDF.
Does the page quality change?
No. Pages are copied as they are, without recompression: text, images, and fonts stay the same as in the original.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Not yet. If the PDF is protected, we’ll let you know so you can unlock it first in the app you use to open it.
