Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is processed in your browser and never leaves your device.
Is what’s outside the area deleted?
No. Cropping changes the visible area of each page (the “CropBox”): whatever is outside is no longer shown or printed, but it stays inside the file and can be shown again in a PDF editor. Cropping isn’t enough to remove sensitive information.
Can I crop only some pages?
Yes. Under “Pages”, choose “Range” and type the pages, for example 1-3, 5. The area is a proportion of the page, so it also works for pages of different sizes.
How does “Remove white margins” work?
MovaDoc draws each page at a small size, on your device, and looks for where the content is. Then it crops around it, with the margin you choose. Stray dots and very light grays don’t count, and blank pages stay the same.
Can I crop several PDFs at once?
Yes, with “Remove white margins”: choose or drag several PDFs and each one is cropped separately. You get a ZIP with all of them. This mode can also be a step in a recipe.
