Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The images are processed in your browser and never leave your device. It also works offline once the page has loaded.
Which aspect ratio should I choose?
1:1 for profile pictures, 4:3 and 3:2 for regular photos, 16:9 for screens and video. “Free” lets you pick any shape.
Can I crop without a mouse?
Yes. With the keyboard, focus the crop area and use the arrow keys to move it; focus a corner and use the arrow keys to resize. Hold Shift for bigger steps.
Does the image quality drop?
The part you keep has the original pixels. A JPG is saved again at high quality; a PNG loses no quality.
Does the photo location stay in the file?
No. Metadata (GPS location, camera model, date) is removed. The orientation is applied to the image itself, so photos always come out upright.
